Warmer weather means more time outside with your tortoise friend (and mosquitoes). Don’t forget to stock up on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention!
Remember that The Folly Road Animal Hospital offers INSTANT REBATES on many of our preventatives. It’s like getting PAID to shop for something you already need!
Forget to give monthly preventatives easily? Never miss a dose with injectable Proheart – a heartworm prevention in the form of a shot that is effective for an optional 6 months or a full year!
Your pet can get heartworms from a single bite from one mosquito. Contact our front desk today for more information on heartworm prevention.

Proper dental care is critical to the overall health of your pet.
Just like us, pets need their teeth cleaned to prevent complications to their health. Join us throughout February to get the dental care your pet needs! Thorough dental scaling requires sedation and often post procedural care. Now is the time to take advantage of 15% off dental procedures and 10% off dental products throughout the entire month. Crazy for Catnip!
What is it about this plant from the mint family that drives our cats wild?
Catnip contains nepetalactone, an oil that triggers pheromone receptors in most cats. This reaction generally gives cats (even big cats like lions and tigers) a feeling of complete bliss! That’s why you may notice your feline friend get more excited about a toy containing catnip than others.
Nepetalactone also repels mosquitoes, roaches, and other nuisance insects! When steeped into a tea, catnip even has human benefits such as treating nausea and headaches.
The Folly Road Animal Hospital has new catnip infused toys in stock!
Stop by the clinic today for a fun treat for your kitty.
Happy weekend, FRAH Family!
