Spooky season can be a ton of fun for families across the Lowcountry! We wanted to provide a few tips for your family and pets to stay safe this year while enjoying the season!
- Some pets may be alarmed by trick-or-treaters in costume. Please be mindful of your pets inclination to become scared, angry or aggressive during peak hours.
- Please keep candy in high and hard-to-reach places (hooks, tops of fridge..etc) to keep animals away from harmful chemicals—especially xylitol (sweetener added to many foods, particularly gum) and chocolate, which are highly toxic to dogs.
- Be mindful of doors opening frequently to avoid pets escaping.
- Keep cats away from costumes that have pieces made of plastic or string to avoid ingestion from curious cats.
- Take pets out before or after peak hours.
- If your pets get anxious during these holidays, stop by our office to pick up Composure treats, an all-natural solution to pet anxiety!
We would love to see your pets dressed in their costumes!! Share pictures to thefrahfd@gmail.com for a chance to be featured on our Instagram! @Follyroadanimals
