Can I give my cat acetaminophen, ibuprofen or Advil for its pain?

Absolutely NOT!

Cats metabolize pain medication differently than humans do, and giving them over-the-counter medications can cause a fatal reaction.  There are some medications that are safe in cats with pain.  Talk to your veterinarian about specific recommendations to treat pain in cats.
