Lyme Vaccine is Back at FRAH

Lyme disease | New Scientist

Some of our clients know that a vaccination for the tick borne Lyme disease has been unavailable this summer – until now! FRAH is now RESTOCKED on this vaccine.

Your dog can contract Lyme disease from bacteria transmitted by the bite of a tick. Using a tick prevention year round can reduce your dog’s risk of exposure to tick borne illnesses like Lyme. This year, consider protecting them further by adding a Lyme vaccine to your annual regimen.

For more information on Lyme disease, click here.

Contact our front desk with any questions or to schedule your Lyme vaccine today!

New Business Hours @ FRAH!

Fawn Pug Lean on the Table Near White Mug
The early bird gets the worm at FRAH!

You asked, and we listened!

Starting Monday, June 1st, 2020 The Folly Road Animal Hospital will be opening our doors an hour earlier to accommodate drop-off appointments, PlayCare pups, and boarders!

As our clients begin to return to their regular schedules, we want to make it as easy as possible to transition. We have all gone through this social change together, and from that we have learned new ways to help serve our FRAH family.

  • We are able to help significantly more patients in an efficient manner by continuing the “drop-off” appointment policy in the mornings. As a single doctor practice this has benefited our clients greatly – your pet is able to be seen sooner and can be dropped off and picked up at your convenience.
  • Many of our clients have schedules, commutes or situations in which logistically a drop-off appointment would not be possible. In these instances we are offering “curbside” appointments in the afternoons. As regulations lift we hope to welcome our clients back in exam rooms, but for now – safety first!
  • We recognize that clients who have continued to work or are now returning to work have a need for earlier drop-off availability. Because of this, we will be opening at 7:00am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

As of Monday 6/1/20 our new business hours are:

  • Mondays 7:00am – 7:00pm
  • Tuesdays 7:00am – 6:00pm
  • Wednesdays (no appointments) 8:30am – 6:00pm
  • Thursdays 7:00am – 6:00pm
  • Fridays 7:00am – 7:00pm

These policies will be in effect for the foreseeable future. Our clients and patients are always our first priority. Your needs are important to us! We welcome any feedback, questions, or concerns at 843-762-4944 or thefrahfd@gmail.com.

Brown Short Coated Dog Sitting on Brown Wooden Floor
Hoping everyone is enjoying quality time at home with their pets!

We are still open to provide our clients and patients with care and supplies.

As we are now only accepting drop-off and curbside appointments, our schedule may be subject to change. This policy will be in effect throughout April. While we normally close at 8:00pm on Mondays and Fridays, for the foreseeable future we will close at 7:00pm. We plan on being open until our normal 6:00pm Tuesdays through Thursdays, but appreciate our clients understanding that these hours be subject to change as well. Our hospital will continue to keep our clients as updated as possible. Please call our front desk with any questions regarding business hours or otherwise.

We have been hearing reports of some delays on shipments from online pharmacies like Chewy.com and 1800Petmeds. We are doing everything we can to keep our store stocked with any medications or prescription diets your pets may need. Please try to call in advance (before you run out!) for refills in case we experience delays with our distributors. If you prefer, we offer no contact transactions as well. Clients also have access to our online pharmacy so you can continue to shop local from the comfort of your home.

Stay well, FRAH Family!

Turtle Crossing

Selective Focus Photography of Turtle on Bench

Our friends the turtles are on the move. Now that spring has sprung, turtles and other animals are looking for mates and nests. At some point they may find themselves trying to cross a street. Animals have no concept of right of way! As much as we love these reptiles, we never like seeing them as injured patients in our hospital. Please always keep an eye out for slow-moving turtles trying to cross our busy roadways.
