Thank you for your patience and understanding while our lobby area temporarily shrinks, and we apologize for the noise and dust that accompanies these renovations.

It’s Hurricane Season!
Our friends at Bark Busters have provided this list of tips to help as we trudge through hurricane season. Bark Busters is great for advice on all kinds of situational problems you may face with your dog!
For those unfamiliar, hurricane season spans from June to November each year. Right now we are in the throes of hurricane season, with storms generally peaking in August and September. Always be prepared! Confirm that your pet is up to date on all vaccinations and microchipped in case of an emergency. Contact our front desk for email or hard copies of your pets’ proof of vaccinations, keep extra stock of medications and prescription diets, and remember to utilize our online portal for your veterinary needs. Use the portal to make appointments and boarding reservations, too!

Fun Fact Friday from FRAH
Crazy for Catnip!
What is it about this plant from the mint family that drives our cats wild?
Catnip contains nepetalactone, an oil that triggers pheromone receptors in most cats. This reaction generally gives cats (even big cats like lions and tigers) a feeling of complete bliss! That’s why you may notice your feline friend get more excited about a toy containing catnip than others.
Nepetalactone also repels mosquitoes, roaches, and other nuisance insects! When steeped into a tea, catnip even has human benefits such as treating nausea and headaches.
The Folly Road Animal Hospital has new catnip infused toys in stock!
Stop by the clinic today for a fun treat for your kitty.
Happy weekend, FRAH Family!

Lyme Vaccine is Back at FRAH
Some of our clients know that a vaccination for the tick borne Lyme disease has been unavailable this summer – until now! FRAH is now RESTOCKED on this vaccine.
Your dog can contract Lyme disease from bacteria transmitted by the bite of a tick. Using a tick prevention year round can reduce your dog’s risk of exposure to tick borne illnesses like Lyme. This year, consider protecting them further by adding a Lyme vaccine to your annual regimen.
For more information on Lyme disease, click here.
Contact our front desk with any questions or to schedule your Lyme vaccine today!
